How long does kitchen cabinet painting take?
A typical project takes 5 to 7 days. We spend 1-2 days on-site prepping the frames and 3-5 days in our shop finishing the doors and drawers.
Will I be able to see the wood grain?
If you have Oak, the grain texture will be visible unless you opt for our Grain Filling service, which smooths out the “pitting” for a modern, flat look.
How do you prevent the paint from peeling?
Peeling is caused by poor prep. We use industrial degreasers and “extreme bond” primers that are chemically engineered to stick to finished wood, laminate, and even metal.
Can you paint laminate or thermofoil cabinets?
Yes! We use specialized primers designed for non-porous surfaces. If the thermofoil is peeling, we can often remove it entirely and paint the high-quality MDF underneath.
What kind of paint do you use?
We do not use wall paint. We use industrial-grade waterborne alkyd urethanes or Italian lacquers. These are much harder than house paint and resist kitchen grease and frequent cleaning.
Do I need to empty my cabinets?
You only need to clear off your countertops and empty the drawers. You can usually leave the items inside the cabinets, as we mask off the openings completely during the spray process.
Will there be a lot of dust in my house?
No. We use HEPA-filtered vacuum sanders and set up localized containment to ensure your home stays clean throughout the process.
Do you provide new hardware (handles/knobs)?
We are happy to install new hardware for you! If you are switching from one-hole handles to two-hole handles, we can fill the old holes during our prep phase.
